Abbey of Saint Michel de Frigolet

The Abbey of Saint-Michel de Frigolet is an abbey of premonstrated canons, located near Barbentane in the Montagnette.

Isolated in a very beautiful wild valley in the middle of pines, olive trees and cypresses, it takes its name from ferigoulo, thyme in Provençal language. The abbey has two monastic inns, a bookshop and a restaurant. The Romanesque Saint- Michel church dates from the 12th century and was restored in the 19th century.
