Eygalières: A Crossroads of Cultural and Sporting Celebrations in Provence
Eygalières, a charming village in Provence, is delighted to announce that it will be the stage for two major events this summer and in 2024: the passing of the Olympic Flame in May and the International Piano Festival of La Roque d’Anthéron in July 2023.
Olympic Flame
We are immensely proud to host the relay of the Olympic Flame, a symbol of the union of sport, culture, and history. Lit in Olympia on April 16, 2024, the flame will travel for 68 days across France, making our village one of the eight privileged places for this symbolic relay, alongside Marseille, Cassis, Miramas, Aix-en-Provence, Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, Istres, and Arles.
This will be a moment of sharing and celebration, highlighting Provence, its history, its heritage, and its inhabitants. We look forward to sharing this unique experience with you and celebrating this great moment of fraternity together.

International Piano Festival of La Roque d’Anthéron
But the celebrations do not stop there. This July 29, Eygalières will have the immense privilege of hosting the piano virtuoso, Jean-Marc Luisada, during the International Piano Festival of La Roque d’Anthéron. Trained at the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School in London and the CNSMD in Paris, Luisada is considered one of the greatest interpreters of Chopin in the world. On the program for this exceptional evening, works by Mozart, Brahms, Chopin, Wagner, Mahler, and Gershwin will be performed by the maestro, promising spectators an unforgettable musical journey.
In 2024, Eygalières will therefore be a crossroads of cultural and sporting celebrations, a place where classical music meets the Olympic spirit.
We invite you to join us for these memorable moments. Whether you are a sports enthusiast or a music lover, or both, there will be something for you in Eygalières in 2024.
Come share these unique moments with us and let yourself be transported by the magic of sport and music under the stars of a gentle summer evening in Provence.
Make the most of your stay and discover Provence in a whole new way – an authentic, lively Provence!
